Things I Learned This Week…

The second you say (or think) that you’re fortunate enough to have two children that are both on the same sleep schedule and that both sleep through the night your 3 year old starts claiming there is a woodpecker in the attic and won’t sleep in his own bed. Or an all night trip to the ER throws off your one year old’s sleep schedule. Both of these are bad things for you.

That if Cookie Monster endorses it, it’s going to be one GOOD cookie.

Oh, yes they were THAT good.

That even though I have been dreading to cook the past few weeks I truly do enjoy it. Yay for finding new recipes in copies of Good Housekeeping and O! Magazine from this past spring. I kind of ripped borrowed a few pages from them while I was waiting to get my oil changing. But when you find a recipe for a goat cheese and red pepper quiche, you rip that page out and bring it home like there is no tomorrow. You hear me?

That I really, really, truly am ready for elections to be over with. 8 weeks left, people. Rock the vote!

That I really cannot help but smile and move when a catchy late 90’s pop song comes on the radio. “Sittin’ Up In My Room” by Brandy is a perfect example of this.

That God is faithful, good and He really does mean it when He says that his yolk is light and that we can cast our burdens on Him.

Look upwards, people. Upwards!!

I kind of hope we will never have to move, if only to never have to pack up. Ever again. Thankfully, we are now on the way to our vacation. Even if we have literally spent 4 hours packing up everything. Praying and looking forward to a wonderful week with the hubby and littles.

Hebrews 4: 15-16
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,
but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace,

that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
